Off to the Races

Yesterday I spent the morning at the Honda Dealer’s Indy Toronto Festival! It was a first for me attending a professional car racing event, but the practice race was free and only a 20 min walk away, so I had to make it happen! It was a beautiful day, clear skies and 72 degrees. I headed to the exhibition center and got a close up view of several cars as techs worked on them in preparation for this weekend’s events.

Then I made my way outside. I took me a while but I finally made it to the grandstand for turn 3 which supposedly featured the best on track action and view of the lake shore. Not sure about the excitement on the  track but Lake Ontario’s shoreline in that area is quite beautiful!

I made sure to walk more along the shoreline on the way back to  the condo take advantage of that view!

The afternoon was spent driving from Brampton, to Scarborough, to Mississauga 😅 visiting family. As everyone ages, the old people are now really old and not mobile like they used to be. It’s great to chat with everyone and listen to the old time stories and new stories about old-time people. But it’s also a huge wake-up call that we all need to spend life well as best we can while we are still here. I slept well again last night!
