Vacays are good for you!
Maybe it’s just that rest is good for your health, or that we all need a little retail therapy, or is it that everything looks better with a blue sky blue lake in the background? Whether we overcome sleep deprivation, buy some meals and other fun things we’d never buy at home, or our perception simply changes for the better, I have concluded vacations and rest are the equivalent of over-the-counter medicine. No prescription needed — and as much as I try to avoid taking medication I tend to need it about 2-3 times a year. That said, lately I’ve been feeling like it’s important for your home to be an oasis a resting place, where we can make time to meditate and recalibrate. I definitely think I need more breaks than I previously thought. So whenever my instinct tells me to power through I’m going to think twice and aim to fit in a break. I’m reflecting on this as I take the UP back to the airport— again loving the public transportation options here!
Weirdly even right now at the airport… I want to lay down and sleep more smh. I’m actually really looking forward to being home even though I had such a good time here.
I was invited back to Toronto by a few people for Caribana which is in a couple weeks. Even got an offer to be flown up. 💁🏾♀️ lol Never say never, but I probably won’t be back for a while. So until we meet again Toronto! Au revoir!
